Pour utiliser le superlatif, il faut savoir qu'il est divisé en deux parties:

les adjectifs courts et les adjectifs longs

Les adjectifs en 1 syllabe sont courts. (tall, small, fat...)

Les adjectifs en 2 syllabes sont longs, sauf ceux qui se terminent par un Y.

ex: famous = long

funny = court

Et puis ceux de 3 syllabes ou plus sont longs sans exception. (beautiful, fabulous....)

Avec un adjectif court, on utilise:

the + adjectif + -est

ex: He is the tallest man in the world.

Avec un adjectif long, on utilise:

the + most + adjectif

ex: It's the most beautiful person I've ever seen.
